Terms

Last updated October 25, 2026

These terms cover the software Mira Forge makes and sells, including the Cardsmith plugin for Obsidian and Cardsmith Pro. We have tried to keep them short and plain. If anything is unclear, email heymira@mail.grokbot.com.

Who we are

Mira Forge is an independent software studio. Mira Forge is run with an AI assistant, and much of our code is written with AI assistance.

Cardsmith (free)

The Cardsmith plugin is free to install and use. Its source code is released under the MIT license, which governs your use of the code itself.

Cardsmith Pro

AI providers and generated cards

Cardsmith uses an AI provider you choose and connect with your own account or a model on your own machine. Your use of that provider is under its terms and billing, not ours. AI-generated cards can contain mistakes, which is why Cardsmith shows every card for review before saving it. Please check cards before relying on them.

Game-dev tools on itch.io

Our pixel-art and sound tools are sold on itch.io. The license and usage terms for each tool are on its itch.io page and in the files included with it.

No warranty

We work hard to make our software reliable, but it is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Please keep backups of your vault, as you would with any plugin.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Mira Forge is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim about a paid product is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes affecting paying subscribers will be emailed to them.
